AERIAL
Aerial women in mythology, whether it is Greek, Roman, Slavic or Norse, represent power, strength and freedom. The ancient depiction of winged females, rather than winged males, suggest women were perceived as having some power and attributes, men did not.
Winged women have been worshipped as Valkyries, Bird goddesses, Witches and Goddesses. The ancient concept of these women, taking many forms, all have in common that the winged women refused to be defined by the restrictive gravity of men’s desires.
